The 12 Days for CUP Challenge!
Children’s Uplift Program (CUP) is running a fundraising campaign from October 7th to 19th. Volunteers (individuals, families or groups) are needed to do the challenges.
CUP aims to provide a brighter future for vulnerable mothers and children in Bangladesh, through a holistic training program. CUP brings freedom to vulnerable families and protects them from the risk of exploitation and trafficking. The goal is to see mothers break the cycle of poverty and give themselves and their children hope and dignity for the future.
How does it work?
There are 12 challenges – one for each day. Volunteers will complete one challenge a day. The challenges are:
- Eat a lemon
- Poem about my mother
- Writing my name in Bangla
- Wearing a Sari or Lungi
- Bengali design
- Recite a Bangla poem
- Wear a Bangladesh made garment
- Chilli eating
- Hindi dance
- Hand stitch a cup coaster
- Live off a CUP dry food pack
- Feed the needy
You will then post photos and videos completing these challenges on your social media encouraging people to donate to CUP (via GoFundraise). If you would like us to support and pray for you as you undertake the challenges, please tag SIM Australia on Facebook and Instagram.
If you want to sign up as a volunteer to do the challenges, please let the team know by emailing bangladesh.cup@sim.org. To keep up to date with the 12 Days for CUP Challenge, visit their Facebook page here.
