Why we pray

By prayer is SIM’s motto because it is by prayer that we praise God, seek His direction, request resources and call upon the Holy Spirit to empower our ministries. By Prayer is our call to action emphasising the important work of mission to be done.

How do we pray

In Scripture, we see prayer practised both communally and individually. Some psalms are very personal, such as Psalm 25. Others are distinctly communal, such as Psalm 100: The Psalms are overflowing with both individual and corporate praises,
petitions, intercession, and thanksgiving.

Importance of prayer

As Paul prayed in Ephesians 3:17-21: “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.
