Entrusted: Disability & Mission

“Entrusted: Disability &Mission” is a new ministry project of SIM Australia. The ministry’s vision is to see people with disabilities reached with the Gospel and actively engaged in ministry and mission.

We can summarise Entrusted’s vision in three words: reach – embrace –engage. People with disabilities reached with the Gospel, embraced by the church, and engaged in mission.

The first 1-year project phase consists mainly of research activities. During this phase, we aim to explore what is happening in the disability and mission space. This includes understanding what disability ministries are already happening in the wider SIM community, what theological training and resources are available, and understand what hinders churches and mission organisations to engage people with disabilities in ministry and mission.
