Renju and Serin are mission dentists, working in ELWA hospital in West Africa. They have been serving since 2023; with their two children.
Liberia is a place where, there is only a handful of dentists – for a population of 5 million. To tackle this situation of heavy demand and with the aim of providing basic oral health to unreachable; – LDTS – Liberian Dental Therapy School was established in 2022.
Renju is training a batch of 6 dental therapist students and giving dental treatment to the community and reaching the interior areas through periodic medical-dental outreach.
Serin is working as an Orthodontist. This makes ELWA hospital the only facility in the country to provide orthodontic care. She is also teaching and serving the community thru dental outreach.
