Abancay Interdenominational Ministry Centre

SIM’s Interdenominational Ministry Centre in the Andes of Peru serves local churches with the facilities they require for communicating the gospel, discipling believers, and equipping leaders at a suitable, affordable, and accessible location.

This project’s mission is to meet the tangible needs of many local churches for the growth of Christ’s kingdom.

– Thomas & Joannah, mission workers serving in Peru

SIM endeavours to empower the local church for mission. The Abancay Interdenominational Ministry Centre seeks to provide the local churches of Abancay in the Peruvian Andes with the facilities they’re seeking for effective ministry in their context. Regular church ministries include camps, retreats, training events and conferences. These events prepare the upcoming generation of believers and leaders for ministry and outreach not only in the Andes among the unreached, but throughout the world.

This site will initially include secure fencing, sheltered courts for football (soccer) and volleyball, bathrooms and an open area for events and camping. Later stages hope to see the construction of dormitories, a kitchen and mess hall, auditorium and classrooms. These are facilities previously out of reach for the local churches of this area. Due to its established reputation and work among them, SIM is in the unique position of providing for this need cross-denominationally.
