Making Christ known in South America
In 1907, George and Mary Allan founded the Bolivian Indian Mission (BIM) following their ministry in Argentina. Two years later they went to Bolivia to minister to the Quechua Indians. BIM grew and later became the Andes Evangelical Mission in 1966, which later merged with SIM in 1982.
Since George and Mary pioneered ministry in the region, many SIM workers have followed in their footsteps to make disciples of Jesus in this large continent. SIM’s vision in South America is to mentor believers and see the Latin American church fulfilling their role in the Great Commission.
